Linda Christensen: Solace

Artist Statement: 

Comfort, console, reassure, and soothe are words that are woven through the textures of this new body of work. Solace, the title for the show, is meant to be just that, a place to go for stability and understanding. The meditative rhythm of the marks for the underpaintings became a ritual of sorts in which I could witness the steady predictable world that is available to us all no matter what.
