Divit Cardoza was born in Palo Alto, California in 1951. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Oregon and Boise State University from 1969 to 1974. Cardoza has been a working artist in Idaho for more than 40 years. He had his first work accepted in a Boise Art Museum show in 1974 and has been accepted for Multiple Annual, Biennial and Triennial exhibits over the years, winning the Jurors Award of Distinction in 1985. In 2003, Cardoza won Best of Show at the Colorado Museum of Contemporary Art for the Rocky Mountain Biennial, after which he was awarded a one man show. Cardoza has worked with the Gail Severn Gallery for 35 years and the J. Crist Gallery for 17 years, where he has had numerous solo and group exhibits. Cardoza’s works appear in private and corporate collections in the United States, England, Italy, and France.
